Sunday Apr 11, 2021
Accidents are rarely one oversight, but a series of oversights leading to a catastrophic event. In this message we'll investigate the deeper prophecies of Nadav and Avihu: Why did Yeshua wash the disciples' feet? Why did he have to go away to send the Comforter? What did he really mean when he used the phrase "My Father's House"? What is the strange parallel between Nadav and Avihu/John the Baptist and Yeshua?

This week we cover the importance of the recognizing and celebrating the Shabbat before Passover known as the Great Shabbat or the Shabbat haGadol. The traditions taught through the generations on this Shabbat are intended to be passed on to every generation. In so doing we are teaching our children the significance of the Exodus and its importance in the Passover story.

Dr Hollisa Alewine – Ki Tisa (The Melted Darlings) March 06, 2021
Sunday Mar 07, 2021
Sunday Mar 07, 2021
This week’s portion is Ki Tisa, “when you elevate.” It is nested among similar Torah portions that when strung together, inform readers that within their verses are found prophecies of resurrection. In Ki Tisa, there was judgment, the sin was forgiven, the silver was melted down to become receptacles for the beams or "pillars," and the Cloud could once again dwell among the Darling Israel. The Shema, the Golden Rule, and the melted Darlings of the Tabernacle combine to explain the Cloud gathering of resurrection. Join us as we explore how this is all connected.

Dr Hollisa Alewine – Tetzaveh (The Blasphemer) Feb 27, 2021
Sunday Feb 28, 2021
Sunday Feb 28, 2021
So what's up with those blasphemous names of the head of the beast? And what's up with that harlot riding him? It's in the Torah portion Tetzaveh! Tetzaveh contains instructions in the garments of the priesthood. One way of looking at each of the pieces of the High Priest's garments is that it covered or "atoned" for Israel in some way as he ministered each day. This would not atone for willful, rebellious sin, but errors committed in ignorance or weakness.

Dr Hollisa Alewine – Terumah (Weave it Running) Feb 20, 2021
Sunday Feb 21, 2021
Sunday Feb 21, 2021
Terumah describes the building of the Tabernacle, or Mishkan. It was how Adonai planned to abide among the Israelites both individually and as a nation. Each part of the Mishkan teaches us to weave the motor running on our spiritual service. We should maintain that blue thread of Heaven always, weaving its commandments into the fabric of every part of our lives. In this week's Torah portion we discover how not to be a lost pole in high weeds.

Dr Hollisa Alewine – Mishpatim (The Widow of Babylon) Feb 13, 2021
Sunday Feb 14, 2021
Sunday Feb 14, 2021
Mishpatim is full of "judgments," each clarifying the over-arching Big Ten commandments. It is a fascinating Torah portion because the reader is challenged with the puzzle of connecting themes. It's not too hard, but it does take some work! In this teaching we cover one of the commandments about caring for the less fortunate such as the Widow and Orphan. There is a familiar adage about "Give a man a fish, and he'll eat today; teach him how to fish and he'll eat every day." In other words, a gift merely strengthens the weakness (unless the person is disabled or too young or old to work). A loan to an able-bodied Israelite holds the obligation to repay, and therefore, the recipient learns money management that will strengthen him in the future. He, too, can then "loan it forward." Here we discuss why Babylon says "I will not sit as a widow."

Sunday Feb 07, 2021
In this lesson we learn about the eagles' wings in the wilderness prophecy and of the wings given to the woman in Revelation. The dragon's time is short. Ours is eternal. This is not the end of the world. It's the beginning of the world to come. On eagles' wings.
